Hawk Adventures - As Seen On TV!As Seen on TV

We have been regulary involved in Outdoor Activities for TV productions over the years. Here is a little taste of some of what we get up to in front of the cameras:

A full listing of our TV appearances can be seen here.

A Great Welsh Adventure with Griff Rhys Jones

A Great Welsh Adventure

In spring 2014 we worked with Mordern Television for an ITV show 'A Geat Welsh Adventure', telling Griff Rhys Jones about underground Wales.

There wasn't time to take them into to cave and film but they did use some older footage of us doing what we do in Dan yr Ogof, the national showcaves for Wales.

The One Show

Hawk Adventures and The One Show

In 2013 we worked with The BBC's 'The One Show', guiding Mike Dilger underground in the Brecon Beacons National Park in search of the rare and illusive Blind White Trout.

It took a couple of visits, and a fair amount of waiting in the dark, but we finally caught them on camera for the nation to see.

Hawk Adventures and Countryfile

In our third outing with BBC's "Countryfile" we took Ellie Harrison on an outdoor experience in the Brecon Breacons Nation Park.

In the morning we were rock climbing and discussing conservation at popular outdoor venues, then in the afternoon went underground to look at caving in the area, explaining how Outdoor Activity provision can be undertaken in an environmentally sensitive way.

Feel the Fear

Another BBC production, this time with TV's own Holly Willoughby taking on a series of rather scary challenges all in aid of your entertainment.

Hawk Adventures took her on a caving challenge and we can honestly say the the fear felt was not just good acting - suitably scared but in safe hands.

Caving Challenge

Working with Mosgito, a production company for BBC Wales, we guided Trystan Ellis-Morris and another presenter around one of our favourite caves in South Wales - Porth yr Ogof.

We gave them a good mix of adventure and education on the day, filming in a mix of Welsh and English Language.

Weatherman Walking

Hawk Adventures and The Weatherman Walking

In 2007 we took the inconic Welsh Weatherman Derek Brockway out of the rain and into the darkness of Porth yr Ogof in South Wales. His TV series usually sees him walking aound different parts of the Welsh countryside, by rivers, up mountains or by the coast, but we took him somewhere slightly more unusal for a walk in a cave.
