The picturesque town is home to top end restaurants, markets, book shops, ice cream parlours and cream tea shops. It is host to music and food festivals including the world class Brecon Jazz Festival. More information on Brecon and what’s on can be found on the Brecon Beacons visitor site.

The Brecon Beacons are one of Britain's breathing spaces, they offer beautiful views both day and night. On a clear day you can see over to England, down to Devon and out to the Irish Sea. On a clear night you can see the Milky Way and all major constellations, one of the reasons that the area has been awarded "Dark Sky Reserve" status.
